Scott Corcoran
Scott Corcoran serves as Chief Investment Officer of Aragon Family Office, where he directs investment strategy and oversees the firm’s portfolio management process. Prior to founding Aragon, Scott was CIO of a wealth management firm managing more than $1 billion in assets. With nearly two decades of market experience, he launched Hedged Equity in 2015, an institutional-quality SMA fund designed to capture equity returns while maintaining disciplined risk management. He began his career trading volatility arbitrage for an institutional asset manager. Scott lives in Vestavia Hills with his wife, Jessica Corcoran, and three children.

Slade Blackwell
Slade Blackwell serves as the Head of the Real Estate Division at the Aragon Family Office. With more than 30 years at Inkana, he has led real estate developments exceeding $550 million in total value. His expertise lies in financial structuring, with a specialized focus on capital stack management and strategic debt placement for each project. He is a two-term Alabama State Senator and holds the CCIM designation. Slade lives in Mountain Brook with his wife, Dr. Sally Salter Blackwell, and three children.

Brad Bowling
Brad Bowling serves as Managing Director of Operations & Investments at Aragon Family Office, where he helps oversee and institutionalize the firm’s investment process, operating infrastructure, financial planning capabilities, and client advisory platform. Brad brings experience across private equity, investment management, investment banking, valuation, corporate finance, M&A, transaction advisory, and strategy and process consulting. Prior to joining Aragon, he served as Director of Strategic Financial Advisory at John Staurulakis, Inc., advising rural broadband and telecommunications clients on sell-side and buy-side transactions, fair market valuations, and corporate finance initiatives. He previously served as a Vice President on the Investment Team at Corrum Capital Management, a $1+ billion private equity and alternative investment firm, and began his career in public accounting and strategy and process consulting with PwC and Grant Thornton. Brad holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is a Certified Public Accountant, and earned his MBA from the University of Alabama

Christie Russell
Christie Russell is the Director of Tax for Aragon Family Office, where she oversees income tax planning and filings for our families while collaborating closely with our wealth management and estate teams. Prior to Aragon, Christie was in public accounting for more than twenty years working with high-net-worth families and closely held private companies. Throughout her career, she has worked in both local and regional tax practices as well as with a multi-family office providing her with a wide range of experiences to better serve our families. Christie lives in Vestavia Hills with her husband and two children.

Austin Blackwell
Austin Blackwell is a founder and General Counsel for Aragon Family Office. He has spent his career focused on financial, legal, and real estate development. During his 20+ year career in ground-up real estate development, he was heavily involved in project finance, including debt/equity structuring, cap rate sensitivities, and federal tax credits. Austin is a licensed Alabama attorney, a licensed real estate agent, and holds the CCIM designation. He lives in Vestavia Hills with his wife, Dr. Haleigh Blackwell, and three children.
Alex Pond
Vice President of Construction and Development
Alex Pond
Alex Pond is the Vice President for Construction and Development for Aragon’s Real Estate Division. Since joining Inkana Development in 2021, his role has steadily expanded across both construction and development as the platform has grown. Today, Alex leads site selection, design management, and construction management—from early planning and permitting coordination through project execution and closeout. As a licensed General Contractor, Alex enables Aragon to vertically integrate its construction operations. He remains closely involved in design and execution to drive efficiency, control costs, and maintain project momentum.
Giselle Pickard • CPA
Controller
Gigi Pickard, MBA and CPA, is the controller of Aragon Family Office. She has worked in accounting and business development since 1985 and has been with Inkana/Aragon since 2021. Her accounting experience includes public, private, and nonprofit accounting. Gigi managed a technology incubator where she helped launch technology firms, wrote business plans, and set up business systems, eventually leaving to join a software firm that later went public. Gigi has set up accounting systems to achieve high standards, implemented those systems, offering technical support and training. Gigi is skilled in business, accounting, and human resource management.
Grant Blackwell
Real Estate Development Associate
Grant Blackwell
Grant Blackwell is a member of the Aragon Real Estate Division. He serves as an assistant to the in-house general contractor, Alex Pond, and acts as the primary insurance and contract manager for properties under management and development. Grant holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Auburn University. During college, Grant worked as a team lead for a tree removal company, where he developed a strong appreciation for teamwork, accountability, and shared goals.
